Meet Our Newest Team Members: Camryn and Kim!
June 29, 2022
This month we welcomed two new amazing additions to the Center. Meet Camryn Norwood-Pearson our Community Engagement Manager! She was born and raised in Arizona and has nothing but love for the community, this position speaks to her passion for fostering all inclusive and diverse spaces! Camryn previously worked in the corporate world before joining our team, she wanted to have room to pursue her own creativity, love for humanity, and artistry. Before working with us she paved her own way through the world of arts and culture as she lived abroad studying in Washington DC, Greece, Norway, Argentina, Germany, France, and Italy. She enjoys painting, sketching, and sculpting and when asked about inspiration for her artwork she said, “I want everyone to know that my art is an expression of my love for humanity”. Along with being an artist, Camryn also loves to cook, take care of her pig, be engaged in the community and organizations such as Black Lives Matter, and be an advocate for others. We are so excited to have her here as it is abundantly clear how passionate she is about building diverse and inclusive spaces for people to learn and feel accepted in. See some of her artwork below!
Meet Kim See, our new Programs Manager! Kim was born in Colorado but raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Much like everyone who works at the Center, Kim is an artist and values education and creativity in the workplace. She graduated from Arizona State university with a BFA in Art Education and lived abroad in places like Beijing, China and Yeogu, South Korea. Kim also loves to support local coffee shops as she is a huge coffee enthusiast. Some of her other interests lay in the art world, she loves working with fibers and enjoys crocheting, print making, textile work, painting with watercolors and drawing. Along with exploring different art mediums, she also has a background in theatre, costume design and hair and makeup. Kim is undoubtably a very well traveled, creative and resourceful person, all of which will play a huge part in her success at the Center. Kim believes that education should be inclusive and accessible to all and really values the arts and creative programs. See some of her artwork below!
We are beyond thrilled to welcome Camryn and Kim to our team. We urge you to say hi if you run into them, you will have nothing short of a great and enlightening experience talking with them both!
