The LeadHerShip Initiative (TLI), developed by local nonprofit HerRights Global, is a new program aimed at helping girls to reach their full potential as leaders. The pilot launched in 2025 with school partner Arizona School for the Arts (ASA), with a cohort of twenty 7th graders.

TLI is a dynamic 12-week program featuring fun activities and presentations from successful women in the community. It culminates in a session that lets the girls select a power suit, engage in mock interviews, and receive tailored feedback and guidance from industry experts and mentors. Along the way, they learn to perceive what they already do well that IS a leadership skill; how women leaders make the world a better place; how to manage stress and anxiety; how to advocate for yourself without fear or shame; business vocabulary and strategy; financial literacy; money management; resume creation; interview skills and more!

While the pilot was designed for school-aged children, TLI will adapt and scale over time to be iteratively adopted for teens, young adults, and career women, and scalable for use by diverse partners including arts and after-school programs, housing and foster care providers, rehabilitation centers, large employers, and more.

We are excited to be on this vital journey empowering girls to embrace their leadership potential and navigate the future with confidence and purpose. The ripple effect will be extraordinary!

The 2025 cohort will “walk the stage” at a graduation ceremony held at HerRights supporting partner, Phoenix Center for the Arts (PCA), on December 16th. Parents and mentors will attend.
