Students will also learn the fundamentals of preparing molds, safely pouring molten silver, and finishing cast pieces through filing, polishing, and optional patinas to highlight textures.

Description: This class is designed for Actors with some basic training (academic or theatrical) who wish to learn to adapt their skill sets to fit the film, TV and video mediums.
We will incorporate scene study work from a perspective of the camera lens. As part of our work, we will become familiar with understanding camera direction, various camera movements, working within the frame and adjusting vocal and physical elements to meet the requirements of the medium.
We will learn the art of the “self-tape”, the currently preferred method of auditions in the film and television industries.
Also, we will learn how to develop a “Demo Reel”, the modern day actor’s calling card.

Materials: No specific equipment or supplies needed. Students may bring wardrobe and basic props as needed for their scenes. Students may also bring usb thumb drives if they wish to save copies of their work.

Prerequisite: Students should have at least some beginning level acting class experience.

Description: Discover the art of transforming flat sheet metal into a bold, wearable cuff. In this hands-on class, students will learn how to texture, shape, and finish a brass or copper sheet to create a custom bracelet.

We will begin with techniques for adding surface design using hammers, stamps, and other texturing tools. Students will then learn how to anneal and form the sheet around a mandrel to create the cuff shape. Finally, we’ll refine the piece through filing, polishing, and optional patinas to highlight the textures and give the bracelet a professional finish.

This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone interested in learning foundational metalsmithing techniques while making a statement piece of jewelry. By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a unique textured cuff bracelet and the skills to continue exploring metal forming.

Description: "The Byzantine weave is one of the most popular and timeless chainmaille patterns. Its intricate, rope-like design is created by linking jump rings in a repeating sequence that looks complex but is surprisingly approachable once you learn the technique.

In this class, students will learn the basics of working with jump rings, including how to properly open and close them for a professional finish. We’ll go step by step through the Byzantine pattern, building confidence in handling small components and recognizing the repeating structure of the weave. Along the way, you’ll pick up tips for maintaining even tension, troubleshooting common mistakes, and ensuring your chain remains flexible and smooth.

By the end of class, each student will complete a beautiful Byzantine bracelet, finished with a clasp and ready to wear. This class is perfect for beginners as well as those who want to expand their chainmaille skills."

Hand Embroidery 101

Description: Learn the basics of hand embroidery! Embroidery is the process of adding a design to a textile using floss and needle. In this class you will learn about different embroidery flosses and about 18 different embroidery stitches you can use on projects. You will receive sampler cards with exact instructions on how to perform the specific stitch, in addition you will practice those skills on a fabric sampler in an 8 inch removable bamboo hoop. The stitches you learn are the basics to most embroidery projects from embellishing clothing and accessories to wall art and home decorating. The sky is the limit when you see how the different stitches and flosses are combined to create different designs and textures.

Description: "Curious about working with a torch and learning the fundamentals of silversmithing? In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll be introduced to the essential techniques of soldering sterling silver while creating a beautiful bracelet to take home.

We’ll cover safety practices, how to set up your soldering station, and the tools and materials needed for successful soldering. Students will learn how to measure and form sterling silver into a bracelet shape, prepare joints for soldering, and use heat control to flow solder cleanly. You’ll also explore techniques for cleaning, filing, texturing, and finishing to give your bracelet a professional look.

No prior experience is required—this class is designed for absolute beginners. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have both a finished sterling silver bracelet and a solid foundation in soldering skills you can apply to future jewelry projects."

Materials: Provided by Instructor. Please wear closed toe shoes, cotton clothes, and have hair ties if needed.

Materials: Students will receive three 6 inch squares of fusible glass, a 6 inch square of fiber board, and kiln shelf paper for firing. They will also have access to an assortment of scrap glass. Additional glass and supplies are available for purchase from the instructor. Tools are available for use. Cost varies due to type, size and number of projects.
