

Christopher Watts is a veteran leader, project management professional, and community advocate. He currently serves as Co-Director of Canvas of Courage, a veteran-led expressive arts program that promotes healing and community through creative expression. With over 21 years of military service, Christopher offers a mission-driven, people-centered leadership style rooted
in service, discipline, and compassion.
After retiring from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer Three, Christopher applied his leadership experience to community-based initiatives. At Canvas of Courage, he co-leads a program founded on the belief that creativity supports healing, reflection, and belonging, especially for veterans and individuals facing trauma, transition, or personal growth.
Christopher’s experience includes leadership and operations in high-pressure environments that demanded trust, accountability, and mission focus. His military service included deployments in Iraq. His awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Senior Space Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, Chilean Foreign Jump Wings, Order of Saint Barbara, and campaign and service medals for Iraq, Afghanistan, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Information Systems from Liberty University and is pursuing a Master’s in Information Technology Management at Golden Gate University. His certifications include PMP, SAFe Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to growth and leadership in both nonprofit and professional settings.
Christopher leads with humility, resilience, and a genuine commitment to creating supportive and empowering environments. As a proud father to his son, Cian, and daughter, Indie, his dedication to family, healing, and service shapes both his leadership and personal life.
