The 2026 Nordic Signature Event will take place in Phoenix/Arizona, in the afternoon/evening on Sunday – April 26, at the renowned Phoenix Center for the Arts, in association with the celebration of VALBORG. The offer to the public is to experience the captivating music & rich culture, culinary experiences (FIKA) of the Nordic countries with exciting performances, informative lectures, delicious food, and much more – resulting in a unique brand recognition across communities in Arizona. The participating countries are Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and Norway. The event is a collaboration of and supported by Honorary Consuls, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce (SACC), the Swedish Women’s Education Association (SWEA), Finns and Friends, Worldstrings Promotion, and other international/local organizations & institutions.

One of the highlights is a masterclass appearance by Daniel Thorell, world-renowned & award-winning cellist from Sweden, a live performance by the Mill Avenue Chamber Players, the celebrated chamber music ensemble from Arizona, and the Scandinavian Folk Dancers of Phoenix performing a selection of Nordic folklore dances. Key sponsors are IKEA and the Swedish Women’s Education Association (SWEA).
