Description: Do you dream of writing a book but aren’t sure where to start? Future Youth Authors is a supportive, hands-on writing workshop designed to guide new and emerging writers through the creative process. Each week, students will explore writing exercises, learn techniques for building characters and world-building, and practice giving and receiving constructive feedback. By the end of the course, students will have a strong collection of drafts, a clearer sense of their writing voice, and the confidence to continue developing their work. We finish the class with a completed collection of works from each student added into an anthology, which will then be published in small batches, with a celebration reading in our theater space.
