As we all know, government funding for the arts continues to be cut, and arts programs are being removed from schools at an increasing rate. We are leaping out of our box, literally and figuratively, with our innovative model to combat this problem.
The Art Mobile is a mobile van that travels throughout the state of Arizona providing free arts education classes to underserved and/or underprivileged youth and adults. Since the Art Mobile’s inception in May 2014, the Art Mobile has served over 3,000 people.
Funding for the Art Mobile has been provided by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Valley Metro, Cox Charities, Phoenix Suns Charities, the Margaret T. Morris Foundation, and many more!
Currently, the Art Mobile is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix and Greater Scottsdale to provide each club with a visit bringing visual, literary, or performing art classes to students in need.
If you are an organization that serves disadvantaged youth or adults and would like to see if you qualify for a FREE Art Mobile visit or would like to hire the Art Mobile for your school or community center please contact:
