This is a film screening and discussion of the film Vessel. All proceeds will go to NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona. This is the story of Rebecca Gomperts, a doctor who lived at sea, who created a project called Women on Waves and transformed a wildly improbable idea into a global movement. We witness the creation of an underground network of emboldened, informed activists, working at the cutting edge of global reproductive rights, who trained women to give themselves safe abortions using WHO-sanctioned protocols with pills.
